Volksmarch
September 22 & 23, 2001

The first ever Greyhound Walk of its kind in the U.S. jointly sponsored by the York White Rose Wanderers and PG INC. Planned and organized by Elaine and Orrie Greenwood, our adopters and hounds walked either the 5K or 10K trail at Spring Valley Park in southern York County. PG INC volunteers provided both administrative help as well as assistance along the trails. They even found time to sell some baked goods to hungry hoofers. Monies deposited in our donation jar went to the National Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to help benefit victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks. Well done Elaine and Orrie (not to mention the powers behind the throne, "Maddie" & "Neeko")!!
