The Plainfield Dogs
5/28/05 - Plenty of money came in for food from many
caring adopters/members of PG INC and we are very grateful. So much so that
the money will cover all bags needed and more than enough for the next group
of dogs as well.
Today was devoted to scrubbing some very dirty dogs. We understand the dogs
that came to us are some of the very last out of Plainfield. As far as I have
been told by a couple of very good sources--ALL 1,200 dogs have gotten out
alive. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! Many greyhound adoption groups all over
the country as well as some track personnel, up to the Governor of Conn.
really came together to see to the safety of these homeless dogs. It took
many to make this work------thanks to all of you who helped, and will always
be there for the dogs.
Some, if not all of these new babies will no doubt be accompanying the foster
families to our picnic next Saturday, June 4th. We plan on introducing them
so you can see who you helped. Take a look in their eyes----you know what
you'll see----gratitude, and love, of course. Sleep well tonight friends...

Dana from Happy Tails and foster mom Barb get five-year old Fatal Fury
dried off before she moves to the next step in her spa makeover. Great big hugs to
Happy Tails for
generously allowing us to bathe the dogs at their shop!
"You want me to clean what?"
Guy & Joe help keep Reason calm while she gets checked over.

"No, no, no, not the other ear, too!"
Guy and Joe keep seven-ear old Reason calm while Pat goes to work on cleaning out her
ears.
All of our trusty volunteers pitching in together to get the dogs in
tip-top shape prior to heading to their foster homes! Thanks to
everyone involved, we were able to take in five dogs...Fatal Fury, a five
year old red brindle girl, KW System Colors a five year old fawn boy,
Tipsheet a 6 1/2 year old brindle girl, ARJ's Cookie a four year old red
fawn girl and There's a Reason a seven year old dark brindle girl.
Cookie, Tipsheet & Reason are all very
sweet girls looking for their forever homes!

Colors, a five year old boy, gets ready to head for his forever home with his new family,
William and Len, and his new brother, Bernie.
